Clean Your Air Filters and Ducts

The HVAC system in your office could be the main culprit for poor air quality. There are a few different ways to improve the air quality simply with regular cleaning and maintenance. The first thing to do is replace the air filters or clean them. Your HVAC unit either has a disposable or reusable air filter. The reusable ones just need to be removed and cleaned, while the disposable ones must be replaced with fresh ones on a routine basis. Another way to improve the air quality with the HVAC system is by having the ducts cleaned. This ensures air coming out of the vents is clean and pollutant-free.

Keep the Floors Clean

A lot of dust, dirt, debris, and pollutants that are in your air can collect on the ground of your office. Both tile and carpeted floors need to be cleaned on a regular basis. If you have a regular housekeeping service come in, make sure they are using a vacuum with a HEPA filter. This does wonders for reducing allergens that often collect in carpet fibres. For tile or wood floor, keep it swept and mopped on a regular basis, as well as using microfiber mops to collect dust a regular broom doesn't catch.

Get Indoor Plants That Clean the Air

An easy way to keep the air clean in your office is by placing air-purifying plants in each of the main areas. Have a plant near the cubicles, in your office and other private offices, and in common areas. Some plants that are good for cleaning the air are gerbera daisies, peace lilies, English ivys, and bamboo palms.
